Brindisa romesco sauce is a rich red pepper and almond sauce, traditionally made by Catalan fishermen to go with their fresh fish and seafood.
Sweet ñora peppers are pureed with tomatoes, ground almonds and ground hazelnuts for a thick, almost creamy sauce. Serve alongside white fish and seafood or charred spring onions for a taste of Catalonia.
The romesco sauce also pairs well with white, meaty fish. Spread a thick layer of the romesco on top of a fillet of cod, monkfish or hake, then sprinkle with breadcrumbs and a little olive oil. Bake in the oven and serve with steamed green vegetables for an easy and flavourful Mediterranean dinner.
Ingredients: ground tomatoes (tomatoes, salt, citric acid), Brindisa extra virgin olive oil, bread (wheat (gluten) flour, milk, butter, salt, yeast, calcium carbonate, flour treatment agent: ascorbic acid), concentrated tomato (tomatoes, citric acid), almonds (4.5%) (almonds, sunflower oil, salt), hazelnuts, ñora pepper paste (4.5%), white wine vinegar, garlic, sea salt, cayenne pepper.
You can choose from restaurant collection or doorstop delivery every Friday. Online orders need to be placed before 11am on Friday morning for your order to be processed that week.
For collections, you can choose a pick-up time between 12pm – 8pm on Fridays from our restaurant at 35 Princess Victoria Street. Please specify your collection time in the comments box on checkout. We just ask this to ensure we can promote safe social distancing and also reduce any queuing time for you – if there are too many collections requested at the same time we’ll get in touch to suggest an alternative time for you to pop by.
For home deliveries there is a £3 delivery charge, we currently deliver to postcodes BS3, BS8, BS6 and BS9. You can expect your delivery between 1pm and 6pm. We are delighted to be working with Zedify, who deliver our Fishers at Home orders as part of their zero emission initiative – you can see their bikes nipping around Bristol city centre!
